Life is a Pizza Pie
I love a good chart. I use them all the time when I want to assess how my current situation is going both in health and in the grander picture of life and I revert back to them regularly.
Think of your life as a pizza pie...
Split each slice into a different area of your life and take some time to reflect on the good, the bad and the ugly. For example:
Relationships
Career
Finance
Hobbies
Nutrition
Exercise
Self-Care
Mental
- What are the areas that are going well, and what are the areas that I want to work on?
- What specifically in those areas do I want to work on?
List out the main areas of need and what can you do today, this week, this month to improve on.
You can even break down each ‘pizza slice’ into exactly what factors are in each area and reflect and assess further.
Self-reflection is major in the path to health and well-being. Our health and well-being is very intertwined with different aspects of our lives and oftentimes, it’s not just a matter of addressing our diet for things to be rosy. Our health, happiness and well-being can be impacted in so many aspects other than nutrition.
Then go back to the basics and ask yourself:
What can I do today, or this week to begin?
