Let me introduce myself...

My name is Karen and I am the nutritional therapist behind Grá Nutrition.

My approach to nutrition and health is based on education and empowerment to make food choices that are good for the body and soul. Grá means ‘love’ in Irish and when it comes down it, taking control of your own health and restoring your body to its natural state of balance and well-being is, in itself, an act of self-love. Having a healthy relationship with food and health is at the forefront of my passion, as well as some key areas that have a huge knock on impact to our overall well-being.

-          Gut health

-          Balancing hormones and blood sugars

-          Reducing stress / inflammation

As a nutritional therapist, my goal is to get to the root cause of my clients’ symptoms and to restore the body back to its natural state of balance by empowering and educating my clients to learn about their own body so that they can take control of their own well-being and eating habits.

For me, health isn’t just a quick fix or fad diet. It is about making changes that affect life-long well-being. A big shift in my mind set occurred when I realised that I wanted to feel happy and healthy for the long run, as opposed to fixating on a short term goal with an end point. It is by no means a quick fix. There should be no end goal to wellness, it is a life-long journey and when approaching it from a compassionate and empowering approach, it can be far more fulfilling than any two week or two month programme.
